Rebate amounts increased effective Nov 1, 2025. HP HVAC: up to $2,500 per ton (Ducted: $1,000-$1,250/ton, Ductless: $1,500-$2,500/ton). HPWH: up to $2,500 per unit (30-55 gal: $1,500-$2,000, 56-75 gal: $1,750-$2,250, 76+ gal: $1,950-$2,500). Standard HVAC: $100-$120 per ton. Pool Pump: $500. Whole House Fan: $200. Windows: $2/sqft. Cool Roof: $0.20-$0.60/sqft. Applications must be submitted within 12 months of purchase date.

Guidance
The LADWP Consumer Rebate Program provides incentives ranging from $50 to $15,000 for energy-efficient upgrades, including HVAC systems, heat pump water heaters, windows, and cool roofs. It is exclusively available to active LADWP residential electric customers.
Homeowner Tasks
- Confirm your active LADWP account
You must be an active LADWP residential electric customer at the installation address to qualify.
- Provide a recent utility bill
Provide a full LADWP utility bill dated within the last two months showing your name, the installation address, and account number.
- Sign the rebate application
Provide your signature on the LADWP application form. You do not need to fill out the rest of the form.
- Verify rebate exclusivity
Confirm that you will not receive another rebate for this exact same equipment from another California utility.
Contractor Tasks
- Provide a detailed paid invoice
Submit an itemized invoice showing the purchase date, labor, manufacturer, indoor and outdoor model numbers, and serial numbers.
- Provide the final building permit
Submit a copy of the final, closed municipal building permit for the installation.
- Take and submit installation photos
Provide pre-installation and post-installation photos of the equipment where applicable.
- Submit a W-9 if receiving payment
Provide a signed and dated IRS Form W-9 if the contractor is designated as the payee to receive the rebate.
- Ensure equipment meets efficiency minimums
Verify the system meets program minimums, such as SEER2 >= 15.2 and HSPF2 >= 7.7 for heat pumps, or UEF >= 3.3 for heat pump water heaters.

How to Submit
