Guidance

Puget Sound Energy offers up to $1,250 for duct sealing and insulation upgrades in existing single-family homes. The work must be completed by a pre-authorized PSE Trade Ally. Rebate amounts vary based on the level of sealing, insulation added, and whether the customer meets income qualifications.

Homeowner Tasks

  • Hire a pre-authorized PSE Trade Ally

Only weatherization work completed by a pre-authorized PSE Trade Ally is eligible for this rebate.

  • Confirm your home property type

Ensure the property where the work is being performed is an existing single-family home.

  • Verify your income qualifications

If you meet specific income thresholds, you may qualify for the $1,250 Efficiency Boost tier.

Contractor Tasks

  • Maintain active pre-authorized PSE Trade Ally status

You must be officially pre-authorized by PSE before performing the work and submitting the rebate.

  • Submit the application and itemized invoices

Provide detailed invoices clearly outlining the specific duct sealing and insulation work performed on the home.

Work performed by non-authorized contractors or self-installations will be disqualified.
The maximum $1,250 rebate (Efficiency Boost) is strictly income-qualified. Standard prescriptive duct sealing and insulation caps at $1,000, and standard duct sealing alone caps at $550.
The Trade Ally contractor is responsible for submitting the necessary invoices and handling the rebate submission process.
