Puget Sound Energy (PSE) offers a $300 rebate to residential electric customers who purchase an ENERGY STAR certified Level 2 smart EV charger. Income-qualified households can receive an enhanced rebate of up to $600 for the hardware, plus up to $2,000 to cover professional installation costs.

Homeowner Tasks

  • Confirm active PSE residential electric service

    You must be a current residential electric customer with PSE to qualify.

  • Purchase an eligible EV charger

    The unit must be an ENERGY STAR certified Level 2 smart EV charger.

  • Save the purchase receipt

    The receipt must clearly show the retailer, purchase date, manufacturer, model number, price, and proof of payment.

  • Submit the rebate application

    Apply online or download the rebate form and submit it with your receipt within 60 days of installation.

  • Provide a detailed installation invoice

    If completing work for an income-qualified household, provide an itemized invoice showing the professional installation costs for the $2,000 installation rebate.

  • Verify equipment eligibility

    Ensure the EV charger being installed is an ENERGY STAR certified Level 2 smart charger.

Applications must be submitted within 60 days of the installation date.
There is a limit of one EV charger rebate per single-family residence within a 5-year period.
