Seattle City Light residential customers can receive a $300 to $600 discount for upgrading to an energy-efficient heat pump under 5.4 tons. Equipment must meet minimum SEER2 and HSPF2 ratings and must be installed by a participating contractor.
Homeowner Tasks
- Complete pre-enrollment
You must complete the pre-enrollment process for the rebate program before beginning any installation work.
- Hire a participating contractor
Select an approved participating contractor or distributor for your installation, as DIY installations are not eligible.
Contractor Tasks
- Confirm participating status
Ensure you are officially registered as a participating contractor or distributor with the program.
- Install qualifying equipment
Verify that the heat pump system is under 5.4 tons and meets the minimum required SEER2 and HSPF2 ratings.
- Pass through the discount
Apply the $300 to $600 discount directly to the customer's invoice.
