Multifamily properties in Marin Clean Energy (MCE) territory can receive up to $6,000, plus ongoing performance incentives, for participating in Strategic Energy Management. This program focuses on low-cost Operations & Maintenance (O&M) improvements guided by an assigned energy coach.
Homeowner Tasks
- Verify property eligibility
Ensure the building is a multifamily property located within the Marin Clean Energy (MCE) service territory.
- Complete a no-cost energy assessment
Schedule and complete the required energy assessment before beginning any operational changes or installations.
- Engage with an assigned energy coach
Work with the CLEAResult energy coach to identify and plan low-cost Operations & Maintenance (O&M) improvements.
- Track milestones and verify energy savings
Hit specific program milestones and actively verify energy savings over time to claim ongoing performance incentives.
Contractor Tasks
- Coordinate with the property's energy coach
Assist the property management by providing any existing equipment details or operational metrics requested by the CLEAResult energy coach.
- Implement identified O&M improvements
Execute the specific low-cost Operations & Maintenance improvements that were approved during the property's energy assessment.
