Available to members of federally recognized Tribes in Oregon, this program provides up to $7,000 for installing a heat pump in a manufactured home or RV located in a rented space. The rebate is applied directly to the cost by an approved contractor.

Guidance

This rebate from the Oregon Department of Energy provides a $2,000 to $7,000 upfront discount for installing a new heat pump. It is exclusively available to owners of manufactured dwellings or RVs located in a rented space. Low- and Moderate-Income (LMI) households can qualify for the maximum rebate amount.

Homeowner Tasks

Verify that your contractor has applied the $2,000 to $7,000 rebate amount as an upfront discount directly on your project invoice.

Contractor Tasks

Reserve the rebate prior to installation
Pre-enrollment is strictly required. You must successfully reserve the rebate before beginning any installation work.
Provide the discount upfront
Apply the total eligible rebate amount as an upfront discount on the customer's invoice.

Work cannot begin until the rebate is reserved. Installing the equipment prior to pre-enrollment will result in immediate disqualification.

The base rebate amount is $2,000. An additional $5,000 bonus is available for verified Low- or Moderate-Income (LMI) households, bringing the total to $7,000.

This program is currently active and scheduled to run until January 2, 2032.

How to Submit

The ODOE-approved contractor must submit a reservation request prior to installation. Once approved, the contractor applies the rebate as an upfront discount and passes the full savings to the owner.
