The $100 incentive is applied as an instant invoice credit by the participating retailer. Existing customers can receive a $100 credit for each qualified unit purchased. The credit is separate from and can be combined with Energy Trust of Oregon or Energy Trust (Washington) cash incentives.

Homeowners can receive a $100 instant invoice credit for purchasing and installing a qualifying gas fireplace, insert, or freestanding stove. This incentive is exclusively for NW Natural gas customers in existing homes and is applied directly by a participating retailer.
Homeowner Tasks
- Confirm utility service
Ensure your property is currently served by NW Natural gas utility.
- Verify property type
Confirm the installation is taking place in an existing home or single-family rental property. New construction is not eligible.
- Hire a participating retailer
Select and hire a participating NW Natural Fireplace Retailer to purchase and install the equipment.
Contractor Tasks
- Install qualifying equipment
Provide and install an eligible gas fireplace, gas insert, or freestanding gas stove.
- Apply instant invoice credit
Deduct the $100 NW Natural instant credit directly from the customer's total cost on the invoice.
- Provide final invoice
Upload or provide the final invoice clearly showing the $100 NW Natural instant credit was applied.
