Connected Rewards Smart Thermostat
$10 per month per thermostat, up to 3 thermostats per account. Summer-only path (AC/Gas Furnace) provides up to $50 annually. Year-round path (Heat Pump) provides up to $120 annually. Customers can also earn additional credits on Energy Savings Days. Participation is month-to-month.
BGE residential customers can earn a $10 monthly bill credit by enrolling an eligible smart thermostat in the Connected Rewards demand response program.

The BGE Connected Rewards program offers residential electric customers up to $120 annually ($10 per month bill credit) for enrolling an eligible smart thermostat. To qualify, participants must install an eligible device, enroll in the program, and maintain a continuous Wi-Fi connection.
Homeowner Tasks
- Verify BGE electric service
Confirm that your property is a residential single-family or multi-family home served by Baltimore Gas & Electric (BGE) for electricity.
- Complete pre-enrollment
Enroll in the BGE Connected Rewards program prior to participating.
- Maintain Wi-Fi connection
Keep your smart thermostat continuously connected to your home Wi-Fi network to receive the ongoing bill credit.
Contractor Tasks
- Install eligible equipment
Ensure the installed smart thermostat is on the program's list of eligible devices.
- Connect to Wi-Fi
Ensure the thermostat is successfully connected to the homeowner's Wi-Fi network during installation.

Customers must enroll their eligible smart thermostat or connected device via the BGE Connected Rewards program portal. Ensure the device is connected to Wi-Fi and actively controlling a central AC or heat pump system.
