Poudre Valley Rural Electric Association (PVREA) offers a $500 to $1,500 rebate for qualifying Air Source Heat Pumps, with an additional $500 bonus available for dual-fuel systems. Eligible equipment must meet strict efficiency standards, including a minimum 7.8 HSPF2 rating.
Homeowner Tasks
- Purchase a qualifying Air Source Heat Pump
Work with your contractor to select a system that meets the minimum efficiency requirements.
- Provide your PVREA account information
Supply your utility account details to your contractor to ensure the application can be processed accurately.
Contractor Tasks
- Install qualifying equipment
Ensure the installed Air Source Heat Pump is an AHRI matched pair and meets the minimum 7.8 HSPF2 efficiency rating.
- Provide an itemized invoice
Issue a detailed invoice to the homeowner that clearly lists the installed equipment, costs, and purchase date.
- Complete the HVAC Commissioning form
Properly fill out all required fields on the HVAC Commissioning form during or immediately after installation.
- Submit the rebate application
Ensure the completed application and all supporting documents are submitted within the 90-day window.
